On this foggy Monday, we were able to spot one humpback whale at the Point Arena Lighthouse peninsula.  While there we observed: * 7 harbor seals swimming by their haul out site * 2 red-tailed hawks  * 1 American kestrel

Today there was a haziness over the ocean that reduce visibility. However, the sharp eyes of Shari Goforth-Eby spotted three blows of a humpback whale only about 1 1/2 miles off shore at the Lighthouse.  She alerted us of this sighting and directed us perfectly where to look and we also saw one blow from…

After two days of foggy conditions, we did have some visibility but it was windy, hazy, and many whitecaps covered the ocean. We found no whales at the Lighthouse or at Saunders Reef.  At PAL: * 78 harbor seals * 1 red-tailed hawk * 2 American kestrels
