    Observations from the Point Arena Lighthouse  peninsula and from Saunders Reef At PAL: * no whales seen * 27 harbor seals  * 24 pigeon guillemots At Saunders Reef:  * 8-10 humpbacks, spread out between 2 miles and 5 miles off shore, flukes observed, most likely feeding
