    Observations from the Point Arena Lighthouse peninsula and from Saunders Reef

    We want to thank our amazing guest, Aeon Bashir, Head Krill at Aeon for Ocean,  for an outstanding conversation this morning on KGUA Morning Show.     AT PAL:

    * 1 breaching humpback

    * 96 harbor seals

    * 2 black oyster catchers

    * 1 great blue heron

    * 1 ferruginous hawk

    AT SAUNDERS REEF:

    * No whales seen

     * 2 Pelagic cormorants

    At Saunders Reef:

    persistent strong wind, ocean covered with whitecaps, poor visibility

    * No whales seen

    * 1 adult bald eagle

    Observations from the Point Arena Lighthouse Peninsula and from Saunders Reef

    At PAL:

    *  5 humpbacks; breaching, flipper slapping, tail lobbing observed

    * 87 harbor seals

    * 4 black oyster catchers

    * 1 Northern Harrier

    At Saunders Reef:

    No whales seen

    * 6 humpbacks; breaching, flipper slapping, tail lobbing observed

    * 107 harbor seals

    * 3 black oyster catchers

    * 3 humpbacks
