    Observations from the bluff trail on the Sea Ranch, about one mile north of Walk On Beach:

    3 humpback whales spotted, one seen tail lobbing and then began to full breach along with a second whale; each whale breached 8-10 times side by side; an amazing sight to see! When the breaching stopped each whale blew three times and then they were not not seen again.

     * 8 blue or possibly fin whales – very tall blows visible 5-6 miles out but no other distinct markings could be seen making a positive identification not possible

     * 10 humpback whales staying in the area to forage and feed

    * 1 red-tailed hawk

    * 1 Northern harrier

    * 2 American kestrels

    * 2 black oyster catchers
