    Observations from the Point Arena Lighthouse peninsula:

    * no whales seen

    * 84 harbor seals

     *1 Great blue heron

     * 2 American kestrels

    NO WHALES  SEEN AT SAUNDERS REEF

    * 70 harbor seals

    * 1 red-tailed hawk

    * 2 American kestrels

    * 1 Great blue heron

    No whales seen at Saunders Reef

    Observations  from the Point Arena Lighthouse peninsula:

    * no whales seen

    * 9 harbor seals (8 hauled out, 1 swimming )

    * 1 Great blue heron

    * 1 red-tailed hawk

    * 1 American kestrel

    * 1 black oystercatcher

    * 7 meadowlarks

    Observations from Saunders Reef:

    * 2 humpbacks

    Today was warm (67 degrees) sunny, no wind, very calm ocean, with unlimited visibility to the horizon

    AT PAL:

    * 4 humpbacks

    * 7 harbor seals swimming near their haul out

    * 1 peregrine falcon

    * 1 red-tailed hawk

    * 1 Northern harrier

    * 1 black oystercatcher

    *1 meadowlark

    * 2 American kestrels

     * 1 great blue heron

    * 10-12 flocks of pelicans ranging in size from 5 to 27, flying south

    No whales seen at Saunders Reef
