After several days of fog, rain, strong wind, and huge waves, we finally had a sunny day with good visibility. The ocean was still quite turbulent and there were large whitecaps.
AT THE POINT ARENA LIGHTHOUSE PENINSULA:

๐ 6-8 harbor seals bottling and swimming around the rocks at their haul out sites
at high tide
๐ 4 black oystercatchers
๐ 4 black turnstones
๐ 2 great blue herons
๐ 1 red-tailed hawk
๐ 6-7 killdeer
๐ 2 American kestrels
AT SAUNDERS REEF:
๐ 1 humpback traveling south
