At the Point Arena Lighthouse peninsula, we had mostly cloudy skies with some filtered sunshine.  There was offshore fog and haziness on the horizon,  The ocean was calm and there was no wind. Blows were challenging to detect.

 

♦️ 2 southbound gray whales – singles, difficult to track

♦️🔷 TOTAL GRAY WHALES SEEN TO DATE 🟰 355 southbound 🔷♦️

🔶 40 southbound seen in December,  315 southbound seen in January 🔶

🔷 85 harbor seals

🔷 4 black oystercatchers

🔷 3 brown pelicans flying south

🔷 1 red-tailed hawk

🔷 1 Ferruginous hawk

🔷 1 American kestrel
