We began the day at Gerstle Cove in Salt Point State Park. It was quite foggy and visibility ranged from zero to no more than 2 miles. Lots of whitecaps.
✴️ NO WHALES SEEN
✴️ 1 American kestrel
✴️ 3 brown pelicans flying north
We then headed to the Point Arena Lighthouse peninsula where conditions were much improved! Visibility was excellent despite it being windy and lots of whitecaps.
✴️ 4 humpbacks, all singles, feeding in the area and then heading south
✴️ 63 harbor seals
✴️ 1 American kestrel
✴️ 1 black oystercatcher
✴️ 1 great blue heron
✴️ 1 Northern harrier
